Community Health Centers

When you do good things for others, the news spreads! Traditional village chiefs respect our volunteer community health workers (CHWs) because they know the impact they are making in the lives of women and children. They weigh and monitor thousands of infants and children up to 5 yrs, teach moms about nutrition and sanitation, prenatal care, family planning, and more.

In Malawi, Zambia, and the DR Congo, village chiefs have donated land to the CHWs for the development of community health centers so they have a physical gathering place to do this work they love. In 2020, the first Sinkhani Community Center and Under Five Clinic was opened in Kazomba, Malawi (just outside of Mzimba), with two more (Matete, Malawi and Mazembe, Malawi) in progress. Now, in 2023, we are proud to showcase those three centers in Malawi, one in Mulundu, Zambia, and one in Kasenga, D.R. Congo.

These centers are hubs for health education, literacy lessons, community gatherings, and more! We are proud that our colleagues have been recognized so generously by local leaders in their communities!
